Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci, (born November 12th of November, 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu-Dej (now Onesti] Romania) Romanian gymnast who was the first gymnast to get a flawless score of 10 points in an Olympic competition. Bela Karalyi discovered Comaneci at the age of six. Comaneci would go on to become Romania's gymnastics instructor. In 1969, she took part at the Romanian Junior Olympics and placed 13th. She won in 1970. At her first international event in 1972 at a pre-Olympic Junior competition for communist-bloc nations she won three gold medals while in 1973 and 1974 she was an all-around junior champion. She defeated the Russian Lyudmila Torishcheva who was the five-time European Champion at her first international senior championship in the year 1975. At this competition, she won four golds and a silver. She won the American Cup at the New York City Olympic Games. She also became the first woman in history to dismount the parallel bars and to use a double backward salto. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. The journey into the world of entertainment began in her teens when she started doing figure skating alongside her younger cousin Nina Wayne as part of the shows that traveled around that were known as Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne, born in Chicago Illinois US on 6 September 1942. Carol began her journey into the entertainment industry during her teenage years. When she was a young girl Carol started out as a figure skater in traveling shows Ice Capades with her sister Nina Wayne. The shows featured ice skating shows that were performed accompanied by musical theatre.
