Emily VanCamp

Emily Irene VanCamp, a Canadian actor and actress is known for playing the lead in a variety of television shows as well as for her strong performances in movies. She has a large following on American and Canadian TV. When Emily was 12 she became interested in acting after she visited her elder sister Katie on the set of one of her movies. After realizing her passion in acting, she began taking acting classes and went for auditions. After some commercials, which were successful, she was soon cast in the Canadian kids' horror TV series Are You afraid to be in the Dark? In one scene, she appeared without speaking even a single word. When she was fifteen, Emily made her big breakthrough when she became regular on the WB TV program Glory Days. Emily's acting attracted the attention of Greg Berlanti, even though the show came to an end in just nine short episode. Greg Berlanti cast Emily as a regular in Everwood. Emily is a photographer and ballerina was named by Teen magazine as one the most talented actresses under the age of 20. Emily was listed as at number 51 on the Maxim's Hot 100 list of 2014.
